The Hotel São João de Deus is located in the historic center of Elvas, Portugal, just 12 kilometers from Badajoz, Spain. This border city boasts impressive defensive structures, including the Fortes da Graça and Santa Luzia, and sections of the city walls, which are integrated into the hotel itself. Elvas enjoys excellent road connections to both the interior and the coast. The hotel's construction respectfully preserves the original structure of the convent and military hospital. It offers 56 double rooms, meeting and banquet halls, a wine cellar bar, and a swimming pool with stunning views. The breakfast room, which can accommodate 90 people, retains the charm of the former convent dining hall. The Vasco da Gama Hall, with a capacity of 500, is ideal for weddings, conferences, and other elegant celebrations.
