Dating back to the 13th century, the property was originally an Augustinian convent and retreat. Inside, remnants of a medieval tower, destroyed by the Ghibellines in 1260 and now partially restored, remain. The modern library is adorned with original, well-preserved period frescoes. The breakfast room, serving an American breakfast, was once a 19th-century ballroom with frescoes and boasts views of the Arno River and Via dei Georgofili. A panoramic bar with a terrace and roof garden overlooks the Duomo and Palazzo Vecchio, offering a relaxing spot to enjoy a drink.
