The hotel has an outdoor heated swimming pool (open from May to September), croquet lawn, mini putting green and a new boules court. There are numerous golf courses in the area. However many guests choose to relax in the gardens or in the cosy lounges. For the energetic, the South Downs Way - a popular trail for ramblers - passes within 100 yards of the hotel. You have a wealth of attractions nearby to choose from: historic buildings, antique shops, steam railway, a wine centre, theatre, opera, art galleries and for the young at heart 'Pooh Corner' in the village of Hartfield, a popular attraction via some lovely scenery. If a trip to France is on your agenda the Newhaven Ferry Port is close by.
