The attractive hotel Donatello enjoys a great situation in Florence, directly on and overlooking the Piazza Indipendenza, one of the greenest and most tranquil squares of the city centre, only a short stroll away from the world-famous monuments such as the Cathedral, Giotto's Campanile, Palazzo Vecchio, Uffizi Galleries and Ponte Vecchio. Fortezza da Basso trade fair centre and the Santa Maria Novella train station are within a 5-minute walk. The hotel is housed in an antique 19th century building, renovated in stone, faceted coloured marbles, terracotta tiles and Murano glass, reflecting the Renaissance style of Florence. The spacious rooms are tastefully decorated with large mirrors, Murano glass chandeliers, customized paintings and fine marble bathrooms. They are equipped with modern amenities including air-conditioning, TV and internet access. The bar and lounge overlook the internal garden. An ideal place both for business and leisure travellers.
