The city centre, the market, and cultural attractions can all be easily and quickly reached from the hotel. Royals and film stars have been coming to this hotel, with its 55 rooms, since the 1940s. It is said to be the site where Robinson Crusoe was stranded in 1659. Extensively renovated, the hotel unites tradition with modern appointment. Facilities on offer include a lounge, a terrace, and a restaurant. All the rooms enjoy breathtaking views over the ocean. Hotel guests may play tennis, try a work-out in the gym, or enjoy a relaxing massage. The hotel also arranges golfing on the island's many courses (bookable in individual packages). Friends of nature may take advantage of the guided hiking and bird watching tours in the rain forest, which are organised by the hotel. Snorkelling and diving excursions to the coral reefs as well as high sea fishing expeditions can also be arranged. A buffet is offered every morning in the restaurant. Later on, guests may dine on the terrace while enjoying views out over the sea. There is a barbecue on the beach. After dusk it is possible to enjoy cocktails in the lounge or on the terrace, before moving on to dinner in the colonial style villa. The menu features a combination of international gourmet cuisine with West Indian ingredients and spices.
