Well placed for Beamish Museum and historic Durham. Nestled between Newcastle and Durham, Hotel 52 Stanley is an excellent base for exploring the North East's top attractions and beauty spots. We're only a five-minute drive from the award-winning open-air museum at Beamish and around 10 miles from the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where you can enjoy windswept walks in the countryside. Stanley is also a stop along the C2C cycle route if your preferred mode of transport is two wheels. A day trip to Durham is not to be missed, with its world-famous cathedral and castle, while Newcastle beckons for a night on the Toon. Our friendly and helpful staff will make your stay as restful as possible, and all our 23 simply-furnished rooms have soft, comfy beds to help you get a good night's sleep. Choose from twin, double, triple and family rooms – or make yourself at home in one of our apartments that come with a kitchenette equipped with cooker and fridge. Meals are served in our adjacent Italian restaurant, and the hotel has a comfortable lounge area with Sky Sports.
