This charming building is one of the few romantic buildings in Madeira and is therefore an important example of the archipelago's architectural heritage. The Palace and the attached chapel - Chapel of Santo António, were built in the late 19th century with the purpose of being used as a summer home for the Zino family, taking advantage of the excellent climate of the area. After having been abandoned since 1976, the regional government decided in 2002, through the Society for the Promotion and Development of the West Zone of Madeira, to recover the building by equipping it in order to be able to receive various events, ceasing to be identified as “ Palacete dos Zinos ”and became“ Palacete do Lugar de Baixo ”. Those wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of daily routine will find peace and tranquillity at this hotel. This accommodation was fully refurbished in 2020.
