There is a persistent and unpleasant odor throughout the hotel that is noticeable from the moment one enters the premises. It appears to be related to the fragrance being used. My stay at the Cumberland was extremely disappointing from the minute we stepped into the lobby we were met with the most disgusting putrid sewage smell. Not good value for money. The best part were the concierge gentlemen. They were polite, helpful and friendly.
