What Is Certificate Equivalency in the UAE?
Certificate equivalency is the formal evaluation of a qualification earned outside the UAE against UAE education standards, issued by the Ministry of Education (MOE). The Ministry verifies your certificate with the issuing university or school, checks accreditation and study mode, and — when everything checks out — issues an equivalency certificate stating what your qualification corresponds to in the UAE system.
It is a different document from degree attestation: attestation confirms your certificate is genuine and properly legalised; equivalency confirms what the qualification is worth in the UAE. Many career paths require both.
Who Needs an Equivalency Certificate?
